Scholarships are available to our members to attend William Holland School of Lapidary Arts, located in Young Harris, Georgia, or another Federation-sponsored school approved by the Executive Committee. The purpose of the scholarship is the enhancement of knowledge of individual members within the fields of mineralogy, gemology, lapidary and jewelry arts, which is then shared with other members of the organization. The scholarship covers the cost of the class, plus room and board, but not travel expenses. In exchange, the recipients sign a contract agreeing to teach a minimum of 30 classes during the year. Applications must be received by the Executive Committee prior to their March meeting. One of the criteria for selecting a recipient, is the need for instructors in that area. Eligibility requirements are listed in the bylaws.
