Classes

If you have the desire to make jewelry or cut gemstones - you can fulfill your dream. We offer a variety of classes and access to lapidary equipment - all for an unbelievably reasonable price. However, you must be a member to take advantage of a class.

In our Lapidary Shop, learn how to take a rough piece of rock, then slab, shape and polish it into a cabochon for jewelry - or other decorative pieces. The Lapidary Shop is open Saturday mornings from 10 AM to noon and every Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 except the third Tuesday of the month (Club Meeting Night).

The shop fee is $3.00 per hour.

In our Faceting Classes, learn how to take a rough gem and facet it into a light-catching beauty to mount in jewelry you made.

In our Wirewrapping Classes, design gold and silver wire into a ring, pendant and bracelet ready for your gemstones.

Also learn to weave your own beaded bracelets and necklaces in our new seed bead class.

In our Chainmaking Classes, create bracelets and necklaces from chain links you create yourself.

In Silversmithing Classes, learn the ancient craft of creating your own sterling silver jewelry. Learn how to make a silver pendant and bracelet. Try it.

In Lamp Work Bead class - learn to melt glass with a torch and make unique beads.

We also have kilns for making dichroic glass in our glass fusing class.
